You are valuable, and it is not by accident!

You are valuable, and it is not by accident!

Recently, I have encountered the following problem— that even people who are Christians don’t see their value. At first view, one may think that there is nothing serious in it, and that this question is not that important for a person’s life. But often a wrong attitude toward yourself doesn’t allow [you] to fulfill [your] purpose, to make what [you were] created for by God a reality. Actually, it is written in the Word of God that God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). For me, pride is arrogance manifested by a person trying to exalt himself over others, which correspondingly contradicts the nature of love. But often another situation also occurs (especially, if the person was earlier subjected to pride); [that is,] when the enemy begins to deceive a person and lead into another extreme— false humility.

To my mind, the person living in false humility is closing the door to the blessings prepared by the Lord for him. Perhaps in your life you have encountered moments when you considered yourself unworthy or undeserving of a kind attitude, understanding, love, or even happiness. Sometimes you might feel not kind enough, not beautiful enough, [or] not smart enough for something.

For those of you like that, I want to say that you are beloved and so precious that God gave His Son for you (John 3:16; 1 John 4:10). It’s impossible to imagine a bigger sacrifice! For me, true humility is when you humble yourself so much that you accept your nature—particularly that you are a child of the King. “For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!’ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with {Him} so that we may also be glorified with {Him}” (Rom. 8:15–17). Let us stop allowing the devil to bring in false humility and humiliate us.

Let us not forget our value and how strongly God loved us!

With love,

Anya
