Who are we? Part 1

Who are we? Part 1

In Luke 3:22 John baptized Jesus. Then a voice from heaven said to Jesus, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased”. The Father was speaking directly TO Jesus. He was not speaking about Jesus to the others there even though they all heard it and saw it. We must all hear this same thing and know this for ourselves. Know who we are, how much the Father loves us and is pleased with us. That identity and Love is not based on anything other than the fact that we came from him, just like Jesus did. We cannot strive to gain this identity and love. It is already there, in us and on us ALL. This is one of the main battles that the enemy has been hitting us with. If we do not realize who we are and how much he truly loves us just like we are, we will never be able to successfully walk in our freedom as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. To this point in his life, Jesus had not done anything at all in his ministry. No miracles, no healings, no salvations, no resurrections, no fulfillment of his destiny or prophecies. He was just the son of his Father and he was genuinely loved and was very pleasing to his Father. Jesus identity was not wrapped up in titles, performance or even his incredible destiny that had been prophecied many times. We should not be either. Just as Jesus is our perfect example, we should do the same thing. We need to hear this for ourselves from the Father and understand that we are the same as Jesus in this respect. We are true and legitimate Sons of our Heavenly father. If we truly know who we are and how much the Father loves us and is pleased with us just as we are, all of our destinies will come to pass. Period. I am not saying to just do nothing, but the realization of our true identity needs to come first like it did for Jesus. Then we will have the strength and vision through the Father to endure all of the trials that we will most assuredly go through. One day about a year ago in one of our Youth Culture meetings in Ukraine, one of my really close spiritually daughters named Karina Bievets began to sing a song by inspiration of the spirit. She sang, “ My papa loves me when I am clean, my papa loves me when I am dirty”. She was singing that to her Heavenly father. An incredible anointing filled the room and the hearts there. The song was filled with power and the presence of the Holy Spirit. It set so many people free that night because they realized that they were Loved, not for any other reason that just that they were a son or daughter of the Father. Nothing can break that kind of Love. The Lord said to me one day, “If I could give you one thing today I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Then you would realize how special you are and valuable you are to me”. Wow, then it hit me because I could then see myself through his eyes and I could see him living in me and through me. Ask your Heavenly Papa to do this for you. He will.
